From yesterday to today, a large family and local people
Who is behind Transport St-Viateur Inc.?
Roger Laferrière, founder of Transport St-Viateur, was born on August 30, 1940 in an agricultural area. Our businessman is not yet 18 years old when he purchases his first truck for $510.00 in 1957. He trades hay, mostly in the Québec region. In 1967, he transports peat moss to the United States. In 1973, he purchases a new truck and shortly after, another equipment must be acquired to respond to increasing demand. In 1978, he owns three trucks. His company is definitively launched and continuously expands.
Married to Marcelle Beaucage in 1962, they become very dynamic partners in life as in business. Marcelle provides significant support to the business.
The couple has 2 sons, Ghislain and Michel who over time are gradually involved in the business.
The Laferrière family sells Transport St-Viateur to a dynamic and well-known businessman from the Lanaudière region, Éric Riendeau. This forward-thinking man owns several companies, mainly in the food industry.
With 25 trucks and 60 trailers, Transport St-Viateur Inc. operates throughout Canada and the U.S. Its team of 30 employees is committed, as is the president, to excellence and takes pride in a job well done.
We are focused on the work and determination required to offer the best service to our clients. Our firm is member of the ACQ (the Quebec Trucking Association) and attends various events related to the field, enabling us to keep abreast of the frequent developments within our industry.
Transport St-Viateur Inc. is founded in 1980
